Now compare the price, lol! MI 8 ftw!

  • June 14, 2018 at 10:58 pm

Xiaomi want to tell us, "Hey actually the X just cost half of its price"
I don't care people hate it because its copycat design, but this is a beast.
3D sensor for face recognition, in display fingerprint scanner and transparent back. Take my money Xiaomi.

So it copied the iPhone X does it better AND costs way less. Win win here

So wait that's not the real inside just a cover up

I really wish it didn't have a notch and it had a different rear camera look, 0% chance of hate and in all honesty it's a monster for $500 ish flash sale prices. Snapdragon 845, in display fingerprint reader. Super nice screen, build and cameras and they are high quality and high value.

Chinese copy cat… Uh oh! 😱😡

  • June 15, 2018 at 12:30 am

So was this a comparison although you never talk about a vast majority of features these phones claim to offer?

If you get the Xiaomi then you will always be known as “The guy with the Chinese knockoff iPhone X”

  • June 15, 2018 at 2:00 am

I was hoping there would've been some comparison about the hardware specs of the phone itself as well as comparisons on speed and performance. Not just the physical aesthetics.

Only price is lower but technology apple is beast

I have the iPhone X and love Apple Products but I have to give credit to Xiaomi. They invented the category and race for a bezel-less phone. Xiaomi Mix kicked Samsung into high gear and Apple obviously tried. Idk why Xiaomi did a notch though. It’s pointless. Face ID is cool but I prefer fingerprint readers tbh Apple Pay takes longer to start and finish using Face ID. It’s quick but not as much

More megapixels don't mean better pictures? Somebody explain that to me.

  • June 15, 2018 at 6:44 am

Typical Chinese companies, they hired brainless ppl, they copy everything

  • June 15, 2018 at 12:00 pm

I understand how trends from current phones can influence how other companies manufacture future phones but damn, what piece of the iPhone X didn’t they copy? If you’re going to steal/barrow a design or feature be a bit more subtle. This is clearly just riding on the coat tails of another company’s success. Shame on you Xiaomi

I had the iphone 10, hated it been an apple guy always, but i had it, seriously they try to milk your money as mich as they can, down throttle the device, removing the HP jack, then oneday i was walking by a Phone store and saw the OnePlus 5t, bought it, got a sandstone case, got me a JBL headphones, went back home, transferred all my music, and then fell in love with it, i sware OnePlus phones are the best there is, everything you need is there, lasts much longer than any iPhone, " doesn't down throttle" battery life amazing, gorgeous display, dash charge dear god how fast it is, sold my ip 10 saved 400 $, am never going back to apple, dance for why I choose this phone over any other Android phone, its the UI, almost stock Android, customisation, all Android phones are great, but i cand deal with their UI, and if it was something like stock Android, u will find that they removed the HP Jack, or the batteryis not that great, nothing beats OnePlus for me. goodbye apple.

Whats sad about this is that they have to copied the iPhone design language although their Mi Mix line won an award for its design without that hideous notch and stupid camera placement.

I still think the 8 EE is a great phone (obviously nothing beats its price for that kind of specs) and thats coming from a 9 years heavy Apple user.

And people need to shut up because its not the iPhone that makes the iPhone GREAT its the iOS itself & on another note, how sad that you owned an iPhone just to freaking show it off to people lol y’all can barely operate it.

  • June 15, 2018 at 5:04 pm

So what your saying is the Xiaomi Mi 8 is a blatant cheap iClone X for broke Android dummies. 📵💯

  • June 15, 2018 at 6:26 pm

People, you can disable the notch in the setting.
And talking about the design, does it really matter? If phones looks familiar so… what? You are buying a phone, if it functions normally then does design Really matter?

  • June 15, 2018 at 6:32 pm

Saying iPhone wins just because of the "design" just unfair in general. It's just like judging a booo by it's cover, and that is stupid

  • June 15, 2018 at 6:39 pm

if it is simply copy, why apple not sue xiaomi to ban it in USA
, like they do to Samsung?

  • June 15, 2018 at 7:24 pm

Why is the video quality so bad in the close up shots??

  • June 15, 2018 at 7:49 pm

If this is copy, then Pepsi copy Coke, pepsi max copy zero, and costa and Starbucks copy each other

  • June 15, 2018 at 8:54 pm

Do not cry because Xiaomi did a better phone with a in-screen fingerprint reader for half of the price

  • June 15, 2018 at 10:24 pm

So basically, Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer is a copycat that is cheaper but not nearly as good as the Iphone X?
Well, it might be for some but I see no pride in copying one of the best around for a quick buck.
