Prices for the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1st generation processors were already so disruptive for the HEDT market but looks like you can found them at much cheaper rates nowadays. The Ryzen Threadripper 1950X can now be bought for less than €649.99 (EU) and $749.99 (US) respectively.

It’s great to see that just under a year since their launch, the Ryzen Threadripper processors are now available for incredibly low prices. We are talking about 16 cores and 32 threads for $749.99 while Intel’s 10 core, Core i9-7900X still goes for $869.99. You can find the Ryzen Threadripper processors for even less than that on various stores. It is all indicative of the 2nd gen series soon approaching retail stores, hitting Intel hard in the price to performance and price per core front.
First generation Ryzen Threadripper processors will continue to exist for the X399 platform while support for the second generation would be added, offering higher core counts, higher clock speeds and powered by a new, efficient process node.
