Samsung Galaxy Watch – Hands On

Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Watch for 2018 at the Unpacked event in Brooklyn today. It is easily Samsung’s best smartwatch to date offering 2 sizes, a number of colors, and interchangeable watch bands. The always on heart rate sensor is also a key feature for health monitoring.

A LTE version is on the way soon, but we got hands on time at the event with both sizes of the Samsung Galaxy Watch.

Time to buy that 46mm galaxy watch for my work outs. I still use my fancy Black steel Huawei Watch for work and going out. 😄

What type of hands on demo is this? we learned absolutely nothing we didn't know already, yes we knew it was a fitness watch, what else can it do?

A good amount of apps? Were you paid by Samsung to say that?!
There are no known apps for this piece of trash: No messenger apps, No google apps, no Facebook app etc. The only GPS app is HereWeGo Maps.
And moreover, the Samsung Health app is not available for Samsung Galaxy s9.

No need to upgrade from s3 frontier, absolutely no upgrade, should have added blood pressure monitor and should have changed the design, it can be easily confused with the s3 frontier

How about apps support does it improve?

Looks like I won't be upgrading from my S3 Frontier after all.

Blood pressure monitor? Can it track distance on treadmill? Samsung pay? Bands change easy? Speaker?

Bummer I was looking to upgrade my s3 frontier but what's the point nothing's changed. Gonna buy a seiko monster diver instead.

What a garbage watch, I'm replacing the battery in my S3, only reason to stick with Tizon was MST and why the hell did they remove their best feature?

  • August 10, 2018 at 2:44 pm

Heard it doesnt have mst. Thas a unique payment feature from other smart watches they cut out. Other than battery life, i dont see upgrading from my gear s3. I mean if i wanted slimmer watch i could pick up a gear sport or apple watch.
